Mom and Dad are leaving at a little after midnight tonight and will arrive in Virginia on Saturday just before noon - yes, that's 35 hours from gate to gate and doesn't include the time to be at the first airport early, or the gathering of luggage and travel to where they are staying after arrival in Richmond. They will be here for two weeks for Mom to attend a conference the first week and a little R&R the second week in Williamsburg. Their return trip is from 7:00 am on Friday morning (03/30) through 9:00 pm Saturday night (03/31) - this one is 38 hours gate to gate.
Please pray for safe and smooth travel, the ability to rest in route, quick time adjustments, as well as good health during and after their trip. Mom has still been struggling with a cough that just won't completely go away from a bout with bronchial infection over a month ago. It isn't constant, but when she has the coughing fits, they tire and weary her. And travel always exposes you to much more than you realize, as well as being tiring you and lessening your natural immunity ability. So please ask for special health protection for them both.
One other thing that I would ask you to lift up is that Mom will be renewing her Visa while she is here to be on a 1 year immigrant Visa (this is the same as they got at the very beginning before their original trip). Please petition the Father that all the paperwork, processing and mailing back and forth would go smoothly and in a timely fashion so as not to hold up their return as scheduled.
Short and sweet today, but I appreciate your prayers!
** Note: all travel times are given in Central Daylight Time - I convert them all for myself ahead of time to make it easier.
