Sharing a song

I'm really missing this place this year! I'll try to enjoy my memories, though. Hopetown beach and lighthouse in Hopetown, Abaco, The Bahamas.

I really enjoy music, but Christmas music is even more special to me and those of you who know me well, know I thoroughly enjoy singing. Most people know most Christmas songs, but there are some from my childhood that we don't seem to hear much anymore. There is one in particular that I remember learning out of a big Christmas piano book that mom had. I don't remember ever hearing it anywhere else, recorded or sung by anyone but I still to this day remember all the words and like the style of it. Sorry I can't convey the tune here, but I will give you the words as they are something to think about...

C is for the Christ child born on Christmas day,
H for Herald angels in the night,
R is our Redeemer,
I means Israel,
S is for the Star that shone so bright.
T is for three wise men, they who traveled far,
M is for the manger where he laid,
A's for all He stands for,
S mean shepherds came,
and that's why there's a Christmas day.

Simple but so full of meaning. If you have any favorites that really touch your heart, please feel free to share them... whether they are well known or not. A few of my favorites include The First Noel, O Holy Night and Joy to the World.
